I respectfully disasgree with your assessment. As someone who worked in a warehouse and drove a truck for most of his adult life. I took extra runs and worked OT to buy a new car every two years and have a big new house and take fancy vacations. That time would have been better spent on time at home with my young and growing family.

My collar is as "blue as it comes" and my point is that we need to prioritize what is important in life. I would like to know how many of those 50% you mention, have the newest iPhone?

For the truly poor, they unfortunately live in a country that doesn't give a shit about them and they are stuck in a multi-generational cycle of poverty.

America is all about buying stuff you don't need, with money you don't have, to impress people you don't know. That is why America is dying. The "American Dream" was always a myth.
